Field Engineer Telecommunications

Job Description

Ceragon is the #1 leading Wireless backhaul company in the telecommunications industry. We are looking for two dynamic and team oriented individua's to fill openings in our Professional Services Organization for field Technicians. The ideal location for this positions is Pennsylvania

The Field Technician is responsible for conducting on-site work (on the ground and on the tower) on Microwave networks.

The work may include the following: 

·        Perform technical maintenance and inspection of IP-based microwave radios

·        Document site condition in accordance with the company’s and customer’s standards

·        Climb all types of towers to conduct inspection and maintenance work on all outdoor tower mounted equipment including but not limited to ODU, antenna and transmission lines.

Ceragon will pay a signing bonus for qualified applicants.


Job Requirements

  • 2-4 of tower climbing experience. Valid competent climber certification preferred or the ability to obtain the certification within two (2) weeks of hire.
  •  2-4 years of experience in installing and maintaining telecommunication system with experience in Point-to-Point microwave systems a plus.
  • ·General troubleshooting skills
  • Takes prompt actions to prevent minor maintenance problems from becoming major concerns.
  • Knowledge and experience in using electronics test equipment to maintain and troubleshoot microwave systems such as multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer, ethernet traffic analyzer)
  • · Basic PC knowledge is a must (Office Applications, emails etc.)
  • · Attention to detail
  •  Ability to be a self starter, work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • The role requires travel throughout the state of Pennsylvania; to service and maintain microwave radio installation, candidates must be able and willing to travel for extended periods during the year
  • · Ability to communicate clearly both in verbal and written skills with the company and with the customer
  • Places a high priority on worker safety
  • Position requires residency in the state of Pennsylvania preferably in the central region
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good standing record.
