Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

  • Implements and maintains the quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products as instructed in Ceragon SOWs
  • Implementing and managing the compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution as instructed in Ceragon SOWs
  • Implementing the methods and procedures for inspecting as instructed in Ceragon SOWs, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products
  • Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures
  • Assure implementation of Engineering Change Orders and Exceptional Engineering Notification
  • Provide quality waivers when applicable and assure their implementation
  • Performs periodical audit of production processes, 5S, quality products.
  • Monitor audits’ improvement opportunities and corrective actions throughout periodical meeting with manufacturer
  • Manage weekly quality meeting with all manufacturer parties following stricken format as instructed in Ceragon SOWs
  • Provide alerts on poor quality events, production performance degradation and ant quality violation
  • Manage the non-conformity and customer complaints through 8D format
  • Provide the quarterly business review material to Ceragon HQ
  • Impose hold production and shipment following Ceragon HQ instructions
  • Approve scrap, return to vendor and use as is as part of MRB committee
  • Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. 


Job Requirements

  • Technical education - Engineer (mechanics , electrical or industrial engineer)
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical production processes and technologies , understanding of drawings and schemas
  • Familiarity with basic SPC tools, statistical techniques and standards (e.g. ANSI Z1.4)
  • Experience of at least 5 years in QA position in hi-tech production environment – An advantage
  • Formal certification as CIS in IPC-A610E - an advantage. If not certified – the training and qualification must be made within a year after recruitment
  •  Fluent English (read write speak)
  • Good communication skills and human relations
  • Fast learner
  • Willing to work in a demanding work hours and fluctuating work load
  • Familiar with problem solving techniques, 8D methodology and leading corrective action plans
  • Reporting to the corporate Quality manager
  • Permanent residence within one driving hour from manufacture site during rush hour
