Site Acquisition & Environment Design (SAED) Engineer

Job Description

  • Manage roll out at a regional level, whilst overseeing activities from a property, design, planning and technical perspective
  • Liaise with contractors / local authority / councils and customers to provide an acquirable and technically strong site
  • Manage variations for the respective regional areas, including obtaining approval from customer
  • Oversee and approve documentation for design of the site
  • Manage workflow of acquisition from site selection to final acceptance
  • Provide assistance to team members and upper management for escalated issues


  • Link Design Preliminary and Final Acceptance Certificate signed by the customer
  • Prepare link acceptance handover pack as required by customer 
  • Attend weekly project meetings to report on deliverables
  • Resolving defects during acquisition, construction and installation for sites
  • Delivery of all deliverables included in an approved detailed time plan covering the scope of the project as agreed in Customer Contract document
  • Prepare and submit status reports according to reporting structure
  • Documented detailed acceptance procedures and acceptance plan
  • Agreed list of outstanding activities with defined actions and responsibilities to enable closure


  • Streamline and co-ordinate all Legal documentation process and to provide consistent and timely responses on escalations, ensuring processes and accountabilities are followed across all regions/vendors
  • Work across regions in line with the customer published SAED process, procedures and guidelines provided, undertake, in line with the Deployment Team PM’s and KPI’s and associated milestones the relevant audits of Legal documentation being handed over to customer
  • Escalations for SAED (Legal) matters for both site-specific issues and in relation to maintaining a consistent national approach to SAED (Legal) issues
  • Management of the Legal Service Provider and SAED vendors in relation to procedures and escalation
  • Liaise with major property owners to ensure customer interests are protected

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Property/Legal and or a demonstrable track record in the legal, commercial and telecommunications property industries
  • 5-7 years’ experience in similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of Property/Legal/Council DA negotiation
  • Strong knowledge of Laws relating to Property Matters Nationwide
  • Deep understanding of relevant Telecommunications Act
  • Demonstrated experience and capability to work with stakeholders in Government/Local Authority/Councils.
