Cellcom, already using Ceragon backhaul solutions in their network, was interested in developing a Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) solution as part of their 5G strategy. As the company is building out 5G, they have identified the need to look outside of the box and come up with solutions that keep them competitive while continuing to serve customers with the high level of service they have come to expect.
With Ceragon’s disaggregated, open RAN architecture and CPRI solution, not only can Cellcom save money without being bound to one vendor, but they are now able to centralize base station deployment of numerous sites from miles away.
