How can I get access to WiNDE?

Please submit the registration form on this page to receive your login details.

Does the Link Budget login work for also for WiNDE?

WiNDE and the Link Budget Calculator do not share the same user database.
However, your user ID is set to your email address on both sites. You can simply change your password on both sites to be the same.

What can I do if I need assistance during a design?

WiNDE comes with a rich on-line user manual under the help menu. You can also contact us via email at planner@ceragon.com.

Can Siklu by Ceragon radios backhaul small cells (SCBH, MBH) when the transmitters are on light-poles?
How practical is it to find LOS at this height?

Siklu by Ceragon mmW radios are deployed in many countries for small cell backhaul, leveraging their gigabit+ capacity in an aesthetic compact form factor.
Line of Sight (LOS) is achieved from pole to pole or pole to roof depending on local considerations.

Can a desired capacity be set per location, optionally with target contention / oversubscription?
Can we set constraints for some nodes and then run auto optimization? For example: radio type, antenna size, E/V band

There is presently no direct way to specify capacity per location, or define the desired radio (or spectrum).
Ceragon will roll out additional features in the near future to support this level of detail and interactive planning.

Can you optimize for cost?

WiNDE presents up to 20 different solutions after the design phase. Each solution is ranked for cost and performance (called limitations). The user can select the solution(s) with lowest cost.

How many deployments have been done using WiNDE so far?

WiNDE is the result of thousands of designs performed by our engineers during the last decade.
The precursors to WiNDE, our own internal tools, have been used extensively during the last 7 years.

If using 70/80 GHz devices, will WiNDE provide the information necessary to apply for licensing?

The link summary file exported in Step 5 will provide most of the information for registration of the links.

How reliable is Google Earth when testing for LOS?

Testing for LOS with Google Earth is very easy and effective, as WiNDE exports paths aligned correctly between the antenna center points, including altitude.

The reliability of the test depends on the accuracy of the data available in Google Earth, which is very good in some regions, and less so in others.

Some additional factors to consider are construction activity and vegetation in the locations under study.

What topography layer are you using?
Can you load GIS data like a surface model in order to determine LOS?
Does the planner support LIDAR data imports for predictive LOS checks?

We currently use Google Maps for rendering, and export the data to Google Earth for visual checks of LOS.

Our own internal tools support LIDAR analysis and we will be including them in WiNDE in a future release.

The LIDAR data for WiNDE could come from commercial enterprises, local government or be user-provided.

How is the pricing structured?

The pricing structure is that of a typical SaaS application, starting with a free evaluation level.

If there is more than one path to a node, does WiNDE indicate the fail over or load balancing used?

WiNDE can design rings for redundancy, and configure the Ethernet Ring Protection (ERP/ERPS) on supported devices.

Is on-site training available for WiNDE and general installation/configuration?

WiNDE is a SaaS application, accessed over the internet with a browser such as Chrome. There is no on-site installation.

We are open to conducting online training sessions for select customers with significant projects.

Can you organize an online training session for specific groups such as WISPS?

Yes, we plan to conduct additional webinars in response to the interests or design practices of specialized audiences (example: WISPs, wireless integrators) or regional practices.
