Global Travel Manager

In this role, you will be leading Ceragon’s global travel domain. Researching, designing and evaluating a global travel system and implementing it. You will be responsible for developing a global travel policy and managing the global travel budget. Managing all aspects of employee travel, including booking accommodations, coordinating transportation, and ensuring compliance with company travel policies and procedures. Working closely with local travel agencies, travel admins in the company worldwide and the IT and Finance teams to ensure budget optimization and provide superb user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global travel industry trends, experience in implementing global travel system in a global company, excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate Define and implement leading Global Travel Systems (GDS) based on company needs and industry best practices.
  • Develop a request for proposal and manage the vendor selection process.
  • Working with IT and Fin and other internal interfaces
  • Lead the GDS implementation project, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
  • Train employees on the new GDS and provide ongoing support.
  • Develop Define and implement a strategic travel policy that optimizes cost savings, traveler safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage regional travel coordinators in a matrix environment
  • Manage travel budgets and analyze travel spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of employee travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Negotiate and secure favorable rates with travel vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel booking processes, reimbursement policies, and travel safety guidelines.
  • Monitor travel trends and industry developments to recommend cost-saving initiatives and improve travel processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure travel requirements align with business objectives and budgets.
  • Manage and resolve travel-related issues that may arise during employee trips.
  • Maintain strong relationships with travel agencies and vendors.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in travel management / similar role preferably in a global environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing global travel system and budgets
  • An independent and self-motivated person
  • A can-do attitude and ability to influence without authority
  • Strong knowledge of travel industry trends, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
